Husband's General Notes
Everette purchased a well drill in 1919 and drilled many wells in Stone County. His drill was made of Wood and was powered by a steam engine. He was one of the first to drill wells in Stone County. Moving a well drill with steam engine was a slow process compared to drills today, but he made it there in time and with a lot of hard work. He later changed pace, by retiring the steam engine and using a gasoline engine to power the drill and moved the drill with a truck.

Ella received her teaching degree, June 21 1907 at Crane, Missouri . She taught at Mt Home, west of Galena and at Bear Den south west of Cape Fair, Missouri. She often had room and board with the children.

Copied from obit; Mrs Flossie age 70 of Crane died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Hannah Howard of Crane. Survivors include her husband of the home, two daughter, Mrs. Hannah Howard of Crane, Mrs. Naomia Meador of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one son, James Albert Jr. of Springfield, Missouri. A sister Mrs. Bertha Carney of Crane, two brothers, Jack Hilton of Galena and Don of Tulsa Oklahoma.Services will be in the Scholten Church of Christ with Rev. Fred Cunningham officiating, burial will be in Hilton Cemetery.
Flossie was devoted to her family, and did not spend many idle minutes .
