Thursday, morning 9:00 clock June 10 1880-81, Present and presiding , same Judge as yesterday, comes on this day, Sina Cook widow of Thoma s Cook died of late, of this county , and now moves the court to mak e an order vesting the estate of her said husband in --------- and is appealing to the court, from the petition, and explains offered in the cause that the said Thomas died ------------ of the following real estate, laying in this county to wit : The north east quarter of th e north east quarter of the section 19 nineteen township 18 eighteen range, twentyseven 27 east except so much of this described tract as his on the west side of said Sina Cooks, Spring Branch, being about 10 ten acres sold by Thomas in his life time. That said land is the only real estate, owned by the deceased, at the time of his death and that the estate of Thomas Cook was not worth over $300.00 dollars Thomas died, 28th January 1893 buried Austin Cemetery , Best Arkansas alongside his wife Siney ,

Sina wife of Thomas Cook. Her name is listed here as Sina, but on the tombstone in Austin Cemetery it is Siney Cook.
Siney -Sina is the granddaughter of Walter Mankin who married an Indian Masa?
her father is George Washington Lewis, her mother is Macy Mankin , The Thomas Cook family has been wrote up in the flash back a quarterly published by the Washington County, Arkansas genealogy society, The Mankins side of Sineys family is very interesting and has been wrote up in the Washington County historical of Arkansas and can be found in most genealogy libraries. There is a large Mankin family tree in the genealogy libary at Fayetteville Arkansas Washington county .

Available military Records show he enlisted in the Kings Regiment 22nd Arkansas Infantry on the of 3rd day of March, 1862, He was listed a s a deserter from his company on May 9, 1862, while Kings Regiment wa s being reorganized into the 20nth Arkansas Regiment . Family history says , he left to go to Missouri to join the Union Army and was murdered near War Eagle, Benton County, Arkansas, no death date is known. It has been said he left for parts unknown, married and raised a family.
